The Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) of Shri Ratanlal Kanwarlal Patni Girls’ College, Kishangarh is an initiative dedicated to promoting electoral awareness, democratic values, and informed participation among students. The Club provides a platform for young citizens to understand the electoral process, their voting rights and responsibilities, and the importance of active and ethical participation in a democracy.
Through innovative, interactive, and educational activities, ELC encourages students to become informed, responsible, and participative citizens.

The ELC Executive Committee comprises one student representative from each semester and each department of the college. The Committee functions under the guidance of the ELC Coordinator and actively contributes to the planning, coordination, and implementation of various electoral-literacy, voter-awareness, and democratic-participation activities.
The student representatives serve as ELC ambassadors among their peers, encouraging active participation and fostering awareness of electoral rights, responsibilities, and democratic values.
In recognition of its continuous efforts and effective voter awareness initiatives, the college was honoured with the “District Level Best Performing Private College Award – National Voters’ Day (NVD) 2026.”
To further promote electoral awareness, the college organized the Electoral Literacy Fest – 2026.
The event was graced by Mr. Rajat Yadav, SDM, Kishangarh, as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, an Inter-College Creative Arts Competition was conducted, where students from different colleges participated in activities such as Poster Making, Collage Making, and Rangoli, creatively expressing the importance of democracy, voter awareness, and responsible voting.
Through these initiatives, the Electoral Literacy Club continues to inspire students to become responsible citizens and active participants in the democratic process.
Activities throughout the academic year include:
Annual celebration of National Voters’ Day to promote awareness about voting rights, voter registration, and the significance of democratic participation.
Activities encouraging eligible students to register as voters and become familiar with the electoral registration process.
Poster campaigns, awareness rallies, pledge ceremonies, discussions, slogans, and other outreach initiatives promoting informed and ethical voting.
Poster making, collage making, rangoli, slogan writing, quizzes, selfie campaigns, and other innovative activities to communicate electoral messages creatively.
Games, search hunts, voting-process activities, team challenges, and quizzes designed to make electoral literacy engaging and experiential.
Activities aimed at extending voter-awareness messages beyond the campus and encouraging greater participation in the democratic process.

The Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) is a voter-awareness and electoral-literacy initiative formulated by the Election Commission of India (ECI). Joining ELC provides students with opportunities to learn, participate, lead, and contribute to strengthening democratic participation.
