MSc Mathematics is a 2-year postgraduate course dealing with providing indepth
knowledge of advanced and applied mathematics like Algebra, Tensor
Analysis, Functional Analysis, Optimization Techniques, Statistics, Differential and
Integral Equations etc. and preparing them for various research activities. Our
Mission is to prepare post-graduate students for productive careers in academics
by providing an excellent environment for teaching, learning, and research in the
theory and applications of Mathematics. We aim to produce highly qualified and
well-rounded candidates possessing. Advance knowledge of mathematics and
to pursue creative research to serve the needs of the academic and the scientific
community by expanding and contributing knowledge in the field.

A postgraduate degree in Zoology encompasses the general investigation of the
ideas of biosciences. Zoology is a branch of biology that focuses on animals
and animal life. Some Zoologists study very small microorganisms and even cells
and parts of cells. Other Zoologists study very large organisms, aquatic life, and
terrestrial life such as whales, elephants and even whole populations of animals.
Zoologists observe and sometimes conduct experiments on animals, either in the
wild or in a controlled setting. The subjects studied range from Taxonomy, Molecular
Biology, Evolution, Genetics, Ethology, Wildlife Biology, Biodiversity, Immunology,
Biotechnology, Microbiology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Developmental Biology,
Ecology, Endocrinology, Biostatistics, and Bioinstrumentation etc. with many
specializations in semester III and IV.

To enhance the employability and skill set of the student, the department offers various
skill-based programs and add-on courses to choose from. Students are counseled
and encouraged to enroll in these courses at the beginning of the session. A student
may register for any of these courses by paying an additional fee.
