At SRKPGC it is our belief that libraries are perennial reserves of knowledge, fueling the imagination of young minds. Our library is an essential partner in the creative exploration, intellectual growth and scholarly pursuits of the institution. It is continuously growing with its collections as well as services. There are spacious study areas in the library, along with a well-furnished reading room. We provide an open access system to create a user-friendly atmosphere with a dedicated and ready-to-help library staff.

Salient Features

  • Exhaustive collection of more than 24000 books and 6400 different titles, reflecting the needs of the prescribed syllabus in different courses.
  • Subscriptions: 38 national and international journals for Academic and Education Courses, 19 magazines, 10 daily Hindi and English national newspapers
  • Rich collection of Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Autobiographies, Biographies, Personality Development and Self-Help books
  • Special Collections: Gandhian books, the Vedas, Literary Classics, Contemporary Fiction, and English Language and Grammar books., Jainology
  • Books for Competitive Exams - UGC NET/JRF, Bank PO/Clerk, Railway, SSC, UPSC, CAT, MAT CA, CS, IELTS along with a collection of 505 CDs / DVDs.
  • e-Library: A platform to access relevant information across diverse domains with just a click
  • Institutional Repository (IR): E-notes, syllabus, question papers, audio-visual recordings of seminars, presentations, guest lectures, faculty publications, college magazine and newsletter.
  • Book Bank Service: Students can loan course books for the entire academic session on deposition of a refundable amount
  • Additional Features: Book Review Club, Newspaper Clipping Board, Donate a Book on Your Birthday Programme.

LIBRARY RULES

  • Perfect silence needs to be maintained in the library.
  • Entry to the library is only through Biometric attendance and carrying a library card is mandatory.
  • Library material is to be handled with utmost care and respect.
  • Personal belongings including the issued library material must be kept at the property counter provided at the entrance of the library.
  • No library material should be taken out without following proper issue procedure. Any type of violation may lead to disciplinary action
  • Physical presence of the member is mandatory at the time of issue/return and no material can be issued on someone else’s behalf.
  • Material marked as ‘NOT TO BE ISSUED/ FOR REFERENCE is only for consultation.
  • Library management reserves the rights to recall any issued material at any given point of time.
  • The mutilated/spoiled books should be brought to the notice of the library staff at the time of issue.
  • If any library material is lost/spoiled/mutilated, the said penalty will be charged as per the library policy.
  • Instructions of the library staff must be followed strictly. Misconduct with the library staff/misuse of facilities will lead to restriction/suspension of library membership.
