Cooking Workshop on Nutritious Diets for Celiac Patients

Department of Home Science under the Indian Nutrition Week organized a workshop on Diet Planning for Celiac Patients. Workshop Expert Ms Monika Soni elaborated on the severity of Celiac Diseases and demonstrated conventional dishes like Laccha Paratha, Uttapam, Pizza and Dosa using gluten-free alternatives. Students. Ms Soni gave intrinsic details on how to prepare the flour, knead the dough, preparation of the various dishes and other precautions which must be taken while preparing the dishes for celiac patients. Students thoroughly enjoyed the workshop as the presentation was brief, yet informative. 

CA Subhash Agarwal (Director and Secretary, College Management Committee) encouraged the students to actively participate in these workshops as they are conducted to provide the students with the knowledge and skills beyond the conventional syllabus, which is important 

Dr Ravi Sharma (Principal) appreciated the cause of conducting such an informative workshop, as it is not only beneficial for the students as well as for the caretakers of celiac patients also. 

Dr Meenal Tripathi (Head, Home Science Department) welcomed the expert and in her address to the students, she emphasized upgrading the knowledge about various ailments prevailing and how to inculcate the dietary limitation while preparing the diet plan. Ms Anuradha Shekhawat conveyed the vote of thanks to the expert.
