On *28 January 2025, the **PG Department of Zoology* embarked on an enriching visit to *Sambhar Lake, India’s largest inland saltwater lake. The day was packed with exciting experiences, starting with the **Sambhar Festival*, where students explored the rich biodiversity and cultural heritage of the region.
A highlight of the trip was the *Shakambhari Temple, a revered site offering breathtaking views of the lake and its surroundings. However, the most thrilling moment came when students witnessed a spectacular sight—3 to 4 lakh flamingos* gracefully wading through the shimmering waters of the lake! These migratory birds, known for their striking pink plumage, created a mesmerizing landscape, making the visit truly unforgettable.
