This is to inform you, that the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun, is conducting an Online Workshop entitled "Water Quality Studies using Hyperspectral Remote Sensing for the Indian Coastal and Inland Waters" on August 05, 2022 (In English).
This Workshop will be facilitated through our IIRS, ISRO Nodal center (Department of Geography) also.
The main aim of this workshop is to spread awareness about the importance and capabilities of geospatial technology, especially hyperspectral remote sensing in the field of mapping water quality of Coastal and Inland waters.
Registrations for the same are invited from faculty members and students.

Department of Geography facilitated IIRS One Day Online Workshop on 5th August 2022, which was entitled “Water Quality Studies using Hyperspectral Remote Sensing for the Indian Coastal and Inland Waters” in the college campus in Semina Hall. The participants who could not attend the workshop in the college campus, attended the workshop by logging in IIRS E-Class.
The main aim of this workshop was to spread awareness about the importance and capabilities of geospatial technology, especially hyperspectral remote sensing in the field of mapping water quality of Coastal and Inland waters.
Dr. Ravi Sharma, Principal, and CA Subhash Agarwal, Director and Secretary of College Management Committee encouraged the students to participate in such outreach Programmes in the future also. IIRS, ISRO Outreach Coordinator, Ms. Rohini Yadawar said that workshop participants were familiarized with different applications of geospatial technology in mapping water quality parameters and the participants got to know the future of this field of study.
