One Day National Workshop for UGC/ SLET Aspirants which is being organized by the PG Department of Geography on 19th December 2022.

PG Department of Geography organized the One Day National Workshop on the topic “UGC NET/SET EXAM PREPARATION”.  
The main objective of the workshop was to make students aware about this exam and assist their preparation for the same.
The guest speaker of the workshop Mr. Shubhendu Mukherjee is presently serving as Civilian Academic Officer, and HOD, Geography in Army Cadet College Wing, of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. He is not only academically sound but also very talented voice over artist.  Apart from this he is also a very active e-content creator, YouTuber, Online Educator and Podcaster.  
He told the students about the pattern of UGC NET Exam and discussed the important preparation strategies which will be useful to crack this. He mentioned that “Range of Knowledge” is more important than “In depth Knowledge”.
Later he gave hands on training to the students by discussing previous year questions. He also emphasized the importance of mind maps and how they can be used as a powerful tool in remembering geographical facts.
There were 90 students present in the workshop who were actively listening to the guest speaker and also participated in the training very enthusiastically. The total number of registrations were more than 100. 
CA, Mr. Subhash Agarwal, Director and Secretary of College Management Committee motivated the students to constantly work hard and practice as the speaker told them to bring out the best in them. 
Dr. Ravi Sharma, Principal, appreciated the creative strategies mentioned by the speaker and motivated the students to implement them in the similar way on regular basis.
Mrs. Rohini Yadawar, HOD Geography briefed about the importance of discipline and management to clear numerous hurdles which we face on a regular basis. She acknowledged the work done by volunteers by handing out badges stating “STRENGTHS OF GEOGRAPHY” to each one of them.
Mr. Himanshu Singh Mahawar, Asst. Prof. Department of Geography thanked the management, faculty members, administration and students for their constant support and motivation.
The stage compering was done by Swapnil, Pratibha and Falguni.
